It is also helpful as a natural remedy in many ways.

Cinnamon comes from the inner bark of a tree found in tropical regions. There are many varieties seen from different countries, but they are all effective in pretty much the same ways, some just more so with certain qualities than others.

Cinnamon is considered a stimulant; this makes it helpful for improving blood circulation and possibly lowering blood pressure, making it a heart-healthy herb, and for warming the body on cold nights. The herb also contains antibiotic, analgesic, and astringent qualities. Cinnamon can help to eliminate mucus and fight infections, making it a great herb to use during cold and flu season. It can be added to homemade mouthwash solutions or be used topically as a soothing balm for pain relief. It also improves gastrointestinal issues such as indigestion, diarrhea, and gas.

Cinnamon is usually combined with other herbs in remedies and can be used in teas or the powder can be taken in capsules.
